UOV OPP CHARGE PERSON FOR ASSAULT AND MISCHIEF

(PEMBROKE, ON) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an altercation between two parties near the Pembroke marina.
On June 17, 2026, shortly before 6:00 pm, OPP were dispatched to a disturbance in the 600 block of Pembroke St. West in the City of Pembroke. Upon police arrival the party had left the scene. Further investigation and passerby’s led police to the area near the Algonquin trail and the Pembroke marina. Police observed a verbal altercation turn physical upon arrival.
Chantal ANDERSON, 36 years old, of Pembroke has been charged with the following offences;
- Assault
- Mischief - destroy or damage property
- Mischief - obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Fail to comply with release order
- A Liquor Licence Act charge
The accused was arrested and held for bail. They remain in custody with a next court appearance of June 22, 2026, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
