Arrest after employee assaulted

A Guelph man was arrested after an employee at a downtown business was assaulted Monday afternoon.
Approximately 2:40 pm a man entered a licensed establishment. An employee declined to serve him as he was already intoxicated. The man became angry and punched the employee in the face.
Officers arrived on scene a short time later and arrested him. A 40-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault and public intoxication. He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
