A Guelph woman was arrested Wednesday night after a nearly three-hour standoff at a west-end apartment building.
Approximately 7:40 pm officers attended an address near Paisley Road and Stephanie Drive to arrest a woman for missing her court date in May. After officers knocked on the door the woman verbally confirmed she was inside the apartment but refused to come out.
Officers remained at the building while seeking a warrant to enter the property. Just before 10:30 pm officers entered the unit and arrested a 24-year-old woman for failing to appear. She was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
