Napoleon Apollo® 22 Charcoal Water Smoker

A York Region man has had his vehicle seized indefinitely after he was charged in Guelph with impaired driving for the third time in less than a month.

Approximately 7:45 pm Saturday police received reports of a Chevrolet pickup being driven erratically throughout the city. Officers located the truck in a parking lot on Speedvale Avenue East and watched a man walking unsteadily before getting into the driver’s seat.

Officers blocked the truck in and spoke to the driver, who had a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. He was arrested and transported to the police station, but repeatedly refused to provide a breath sample. Investigation revealed the man was previously arrested for impaired driving on June 15 and July 2 and had his driver’s licence suspended both times. Those matters are still before the courts.

A 23-year-old Schomberg man is charged with impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, two counts failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with an undertaking. Officers seized his vehicle indefinitely to prevent further offences. He was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
