A Guelph man was arrested after a paramedic was headbutted by a patient.
Shortly before midnight Tuesday police were called to attend Guelph General Hospital. A man being transported due to illicit drug use lunged from the gurney and struck a paramedic on the nose with his head.
Hospital security intervened and were able to take the man inside where he was arrested by responding officers. A 42-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault. He will appear in court September 25.
