A Guelph man was arrested Thursday after a suspected drug lab was discovered inside a unit at a self-storage business.
The Guelph Police Service was alerted to suspicious activity at an east-end business. Members of the Drug Enforcement Unit attended Thursday morning to ensure the safety of the public.
A 33-year-old Guelph man was arrested as he arrived at the business while police were on scene. Search warrants executed at the storage unit and the man’s address revealed quantities of suspected controlled substances as well as a large amount of chemicals, lithium batteries, a scale, coveralls and glass jars.
The man is charged with production of dimethyltryptamine, a psychedelic compound more commonly known as DMT. He will appear in court September 1.
