A Guelph man faces assault and mischief charges after several vehicles were damaged with a hammer.
Just after 9 pm Tuesday Guelph Police Service officers responded to a report of a man damaging vehicles and threatening people.
The incident began shortly after 9 pm in the parking lot of a commercial property near Woodlawn Road East and Victoria Road North. The accused then walked east along Woodlawn Road toward a housing complex, where he used the hammer to damage several more vehicles. He also assaulted and verbally threatened one of the vehicle owners.
A 28-year-old Guelph man was arrested for six counts of mischief, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and more than 30 counts of breaching probation orders. He will appear in bail court Monday.
