A Guelph man has been arrested after an altercation which left a Guelph Police Service officer scarred.
On May 18, just after 11 pm, police were called to a downtown location to assist paramedics with an agitated man. A struggle ensued during which the man grabbed an officer’s arm and squeezed it, leaving several nail marks and drawing blood.
The officer received medical attention and was left with scars from the assault.
A 26-year-old Guelph man was arrested early Saturday for assault police causing bodily harm. He was held for a bail hearing and has been released to appear in court July 17.
