A Guelph woman is charged with impaired and dangerous driving following a collision Friday night.
Just after 8 pm police were called to Scottsdale Drive near Stone Road West. A man reported a woman had been following close behind him and honking her horn. When he attempted to pull over and let her pass she collided with his vehicle.
While speaking to the woman officers detected signs of impairment. After failing a roadside breath test she was transported to the police station, where further tests revealed she had three times the legal amount of alcohol in her system.
A 45-year-old Guelph woman is charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days. She will appear in court August 7.
