A Guelph man is charged with impaired driving after a driving complaint Saturday night.
Just before 11:30 pm police were called to a business on Woodlawn Road West after witnesses reported a possible impaired driver in the parking lot. Officers spoke to the driver and noted an odour of alcohol on his breath and other signs of impairment. After failing a roadside breath test the man was arrested and transported to the police station, where further tests revealed he had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
A 54-year-old Guelph man is charged with impaired driving. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 45 days. He will appear in court August 18.
