A Guelph woman is charged with robbery after a suspect dropped her identification while struggling with staff of a north-end business.
Approximately 8:30 pm Friday police were called to a business near Woodlawn Road and Woolwich Street. A woman entered the business and placed a number of items into a bag. As she tried to leave without paying an employee blocked her way.
A struggle ensued, during which the suspect attempted to bite the employee. During the struggle the woman dropped a number of items, including her identification.
She was located a short distance away and arrested. During a search officers located items determined to have been stolen from another nearby business.
A 33-year-old Guelph woman is charged with robbery and possessing stolen property under $5,000. She will appear in court September 11.
