A Brampton man was arrested after falsely claiming he was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a collision.

On June 1 a man attended the Collision Reporting Centre and told staff he was a passenger in the vehicle. A few days later the other driver attended the Centre and reported the man had actually been the driver, and that he switched seats with his passenger after the collision.

On Thursday a 48-year-old Brampton man was arrested for obstructing a peace officer. He will appear in court September 22.
