DISTURBANCE LEADS TO CHARGES

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) - Individual charged after report of a disturbance.
On July 9, 2026, at 12:00 am, members of the Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Bodkin Road in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, for the report of a disturbance.
Investigation revealed an individual had been assaulted during the altercation.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival at which time members of the OPP Canine (K9) were called in to assist.
As a result, Brian ABRAM, a 37-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault
- Uttering Threats - Damage Property
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
The accused was held for bail.
There victim received a minor injury.
