TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(LONDON, ON) - Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop.
On July 4, 2026, at 12:41 am, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol and travelling through the City of London, observed a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Oxford Street and Hyde Park Road.
A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.
As a result, William NUNEZ-BONILLA, a 54-year-old of London has been charged under the Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Control Act with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 30, 2026.
