STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED AND DRIVER CHARGED

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) - Oneida Nation Police arrest driver operating a stolen vehicle in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
On June 18, 2026, at 7:43 am, a member of the Oneida Nation Police, while on general patrol on Oneida Road, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation was alerted by the Automated Licence Plate Reporting (ALPR) system, for the report of a stolen vehicle.
The officer lost sight of the vehicle, however located it stationary at a residence on Bodkin Road a short time later at which time the lone occupant was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment.
The vehicle had previously been reported stolen out of Chatham-Kent.
As a result, Roxanne HOPPER, a 46-year-old of Delaware Nation - Moravian of the Thames First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on July 28, 2026, to speak to the charge.
