(THAMES CENTRE, ON) - Seventeen-year-old driver facing impaired charge after single-vehicle rollover on Nissouri Road.

On June 7, 2026, at 5:35 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Nissouri Road near Evelyn Drive in the Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a single vehicle rollover.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

There were no injuries reported.

As a result, a 17-year-old of Mount Brydges, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Control Act with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
  • Person under 19 years having liquor

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on July 13, 2026.

The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
