TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS LEAD TO IMPAIRED DRIVER ON HIGHWAY 402

(LONDON, ON) - Driver facing Impaired charge after multiple traffic complaints on Highway 402.
On July 17, 2026, at 5:21 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple traffic complaints of a possible impaired driver travelling in the eastbound lanes of Highway 402.
Officers located the vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Highway 402 at Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.
As a result, Addison MORPHY a 32-year-old of London has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Fail to remain
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 12, 2026.
