SEARCH WARRANT RESULTS IN RECOVERY OF $26,000 WORTH OF STOLEN PROPERTY

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) - Search warrant executed in London results in stolen property and firearm related charges.
On June 10, 2026, members of the Elgin-Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Oxford-Brant CSCU, executed a search warrant at an address on Blackwell Boulevard in the City of London.
Over the past few months multiple retail locations have been targeted by criminals in a multi-jurisdictional theft operation. As part of the ongoing investigation and with the assistance of a retail theft investigator, two individuals were identified and have been arrested.
CSCU members seized a firearm, as well as just over $26,000 in recovered stolen items, including alcohol, clothing, sporting goods, home appliances, barbecues and tools.
Joseph PEARSON, a 49-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada
Kristen PEARSON, a 43-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada
The accused have been released from police custody and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on August 5, 2026, to speak to the charges.
