R.I.D.E CHECK RESULTS IN CHARGES

(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) - An individual from Plympton-Wyoming is facing impaired driving-related charges following a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) check point in the Municipality of Plympton-Wyoming.
On June 21, 2026, shortly after 1:00 am, members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. check point on Egremont Road near Old Mill Road in the Municipality of Plympton-Wyoming.
As a result, Briar EASSON, 18-years-old, of Plympton-Wyoming, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Young driver - B.A.C. above zero
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on July 27, 2026.
