Road Reopened, Driver Charged
(WARWICK, ON) - Highway 402 has since reopened following a closure.
On June 16, 2026, shortly before 6:30 am, members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Medical Services, and Township of Warwick Fire and Rescue, responded to a collision involving two tractor-trailers in the westbound lanes of Highway 402 in Warwick Township.
As a result of the investigation a 50-year-old individual from Stoney Creek was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
Highway 402 was closed for an extended period of time to allow for the investigation and clean up but has since reopened.
