TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(GRAND BEND, ON) - An individual is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in Grand Bend.
On July 5, 2026, shortly after 7:30 pm, a member of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol when they initiated a traffic stop on Main Street East.
As a result, Dmytro KHOLODOK, 38-year-old of Toronto, was charged under the Criminal Code and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on August 4, 2026.
