Individual Arrested
(PETROLIA, ON) - One individual has been arrested following an investigation into a break and enter in Petrolia.
On May 15, 2026, at approximately 1:10 am members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a business on Petrolia Line, in the Town of Petrolia, for a report of a break and enter.
On June 16, 2026, members of the Lambton County OPP Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant at a residence in Sarnia and as a result of the investigation, Tate PALMATER, 18-year-old from Sarnia was charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Break, enter a place- commit indictable offence
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
- Possession property obtained by crime under 5000 x 2
