SINGLE-VEHICLE COLLISION RESULTS IN IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(BROOKE-ALVINSTON, ON) - Police have charged an individual following a single-vehicle collision in Brooke-Alvinston.
On July 12, 2026, shortly after 9:00 pm, members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision on Petrolia Line, near Nauvoo Road.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher ANDERSON, 38-year-old from Petrolia, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Controlled drugs and Substances Act, Highway Traffic Act and Cannabis Control Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous operation
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid
- Fail to remain
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 24, 2026, in the City of Sarnia.
