YOUTH FACING CHARGES FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION IN LAMBTON COUNTY

(LAMBTON, ON) - A youth has been charged following an incident in Lambton County.
On June 7, 2026, at approximately 9:45 pm members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break-in at a residence in Petrolia.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old from Lambton County, is charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Failure to comply with undertaking
- Break, enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence
- Theft Under $5000
- Mischief - obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was held for a bail hearing and has since been released. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
The youths identify is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA)
