TRAFFIC COMPLAINT RESULTS IN CHARGES

(PETROLIA, ON) - An individual from Petrolia is facing impaired driving-related charges following a traffic complaint.
On July 12, 2026, shortly after 1:00 pm, members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported traffic complaint at a local business on Petrolia Line, in the Town of Petrolia.
As a result, James ANDERSON, 45-years-old, of Petrolia was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on August 24, 2026.
