(BONFIELD, ON) - A Sudbury resident is facing impaired driving charges following an early‑morning single vehicle collision in Bonfield.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, at approximately 6:00 pm, members of the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Trunk Road in Bonfield.

Officers located the driver and, during the investigation, observed signs consistent with alcohol impairment. The individual was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Brittney BOULANGER, 25 years of age, of Sudbury, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on July 21, 2026. The driver was also issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
