TRAFFIC COMPLAINT RESULTED IN IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with impaired driving after responding to a traffic complaint.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 2:20 am, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, responded to a possible impaired driver on Highway 17, West Nipissing.
The vehicle was located and the driver, Natasha LARIVERE, 34 years old, from Nipissing First Nation was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 2, 2026, in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
