(CARLETON PLACE, ON)- The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with offences including sexual assault.
Officers began an investigation on Friday, June 19, 2026, regarding allegations of intimate partner violence beginning in 2022. As a result of the investigation a 48-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
- Sexual assault
- Assault - two counts
- Mischief
The male was released from custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
