(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Mississippi Mills resident with impaired driving.

Lanark County OPP were called to assist Lanark County Paramedics in the Town of Almonte on Friday, July 10, 2026, just before 7:00 pm when they came upon a vehicle stopped on the roadway with the driver unresponsive. Officers attended the scene and spoke with the driver.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Rodney FLOWERS, 57-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired - alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
