Second Person Arrested, Two Remain Wanted
(PERTH, ON) - Police have made a second arrest in connection with an ongoing death investigation in Perth. Investigators continue efforts to locate two individuals wanted for second degree murder.
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, at approximately 3:15 pm, officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to Last Duel Park, where one person was located with life-threatening injuries. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Christo ALLISON RICHARDS of Ottawa, was transported to a trauma centre and later pronounced deceased. A 46-year-old of Perth was charged with conspiracy to commit murder in relation to this investigation in May.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, members of the OPP, with assistance from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, executed a search warrant at a rural property near Terrace, British Columbia. Two firearms were seized.
Lyna DU, 32 years old of Ottawa, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, contrary to section 240 of the Criminal Code (CC). The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Friday June 12, 2026.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Joseph MADORE, 34 years old of Ottawa, and Brayton KENNEDY, 28 years old of Ottawa. Both are charged with second degree murder, contrary to section 235(1) CC.
Investigators believe that MADORE may be camping in a rural area of British Columbia. KENNEDY’s whereabouts are unknown. If seen, do not approach. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
