FOUR CHARGED AFTER INVESTIGATION
(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has laid charges following an investigation in Lanark County.
CSCU officers began an investigation in the spring of 2026, relating to suspected trafficking of cocaine from a residence and a vehicle in Lanark County.
On Friday, July 3, 2026, CSCU officers with assistance from OPP Canine officers, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Lanark County Crime unit, Regional Intelligence unit and Lanark County OPP officers executed a residential search warrant just after 6:15 am Officers also conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 7 just after 8:00 am Four people were arrested from the vehicle after a search found suspected cocaine, cash, and items consistent with trafficking drugs.
As a result of the investigation:
Tamika CRABTREE, 27-years-old, of Mississippi Mills, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
Robert CUMMINGS, 51-years-old, of Mississippi Mills Township has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
Christopher STRICKLEY, 44-years-old, of Mississippi Mills Township, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
Kayla PLANT, 34-years-old, of Mississippi Mills Township, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
CUMMINGS and STRICKLEY were held in custody and released following a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday July 27, 2026.
CRABTREE and PLANT were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Monday, August 17, 2026.
