MOTORIST CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving.
Officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling on highway 7 in Tay Valley Township. Officers located the vehicle on Thursday, June 11, 2026, just before 6:30 pm
The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.
As a result of the investigation, Marta HALEY, 59 years old, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
