VEHICLE FIRE LEADS TO CHARGES

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Arnprior resident with several offences.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers received a call from a motorist of a vehicle on fire on County Road 29, Mississippi Mills Township, just after 7:45 pm Officers attended the scene with Mississippi Mills Fire and located the vehicle.
After speaking with the witnesses, the driver was observed fleeing the vehicle and running into a near by field. Officers located the male near the scene and arrested the individual.
As a result of the investigation, Myles MOULTON, 32-years-old, has been charged with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Fail to remain
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, August 10, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
