CHARGES LAID IN INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CASE

(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Thursday, June 18, 2026, after being called to a disturbance at an address in the Town of Perth.
As a result of investigation, a 32-year-old male from Perth has been charged with:
- Forcible confinement
- Break and enter a place
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth at a later time.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
