CHARGES LAID IN INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CASE

(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Lanark County OPP officers responded to a disturbance call at residence in Perth on Sunday, July 5, 2026, just before 6:00 pm Officers located the male a short distance from the residence.
As a result of investigation, a 39-year-old male from Perth has been charged with:
- Resist a Peace officer
- Failure to comply with probation
- Possession of over 30g dried cannabis in public place
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth at a later date.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
