CHARGES LAID IN INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CASE

(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with assistance from the OPP Repeat Offender and Parole Enforcement unit (ROPE) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Sunday, June 7, 2026, after being called to an address in the Town of Perth. The individual was located and arrested on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
As a result of investigation, a 35-year-old male from Perth has been charged with:
- Assault
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth at a later time.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
