FAIL TO STOP RESULTS IN INVESTIGATION

Requesting Public Assistance - Five Pictures and RAW Audio File Attached

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - Requesting public assistance in identifying dirt bike riders.

On June 2, 2026, at approximately 12:00 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was on proactive traffic enforcement within the Town of Erin, when several off-road dirt bikes were observed travelling on the local roadways. These dirt bike riders have been the cause of numerous traffic complaints, involving operating at excessive speeds, dangerously, un-plated, and with little care to others on the road. Additionally, there is also concern for their safety due to their erratic driving behaviours and disobeying traffic laws with no care towards pedestrians or other vehicles on or near the roadway.

Additionally, when the Wellington County OPP TMU have attempted to stop these dirt bikes, the riders fail to stop for police and instead accelerate and flee the scene with no regards to others around them.

It is believed the riders of the dirt bikes are youth, between the ages of 15-17 years of age, and are putting not only themselves at danger due to their driving behaviour, but others as well.

See the five for descriptions.

RAW Audio file also attached for radio.
