(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Stouffville resident with several provincial offences.

On July 25, 2025, at approximately 11:30 am, a member of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit was performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, which resulted in a traffic stop being conducted on Wellington Road 7 within Mapleton Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old from Stouffville is charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Driving while under suspension
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
  • Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph at a later date.
