(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Niagara Falls driver has been charged following a traffic stop in Puslinch.

On June 5, 2026, at approximately 12:00 am, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Highway 6 in Puslinch Township, when they observed a vehicle travelling over twice the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old from Niagara Falls, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit
  • Fail to surrender insurance card

A 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30 day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the provincial offences court - Guelph, at a later date.
