CHARGE LAID FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following a recent intimate partner violence investigation.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 11:50 pm, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported assault at a residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals on the property, during which one person assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 26-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault - spousal
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
