CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATIONS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals are facing charges following separate intimate partner violence investigations.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 11:02 am, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of property damage at a residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that during an interaction between two individuals at the location, one person damaged property belonging to the other.
As a result, a 42-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Mischief under $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
On Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 9:49 am, officers responded to a report of harassment at a separate location in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that the victim had been subjected to ongoing, unwanted electronic communications from another individual and was also followed by that same person to various locations within Norfolk County. It was further determined that during a previous incident, the same individual damaged property belonging to the victim.
As a result, a 25-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Harassment - repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct, - Mischief - domestic
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
