TWO CHARGED IN SEPARATE INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATIONS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals have been charged in connection with separate intimate partner violence investigations.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, at approximately 6:04 pm, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault at an address in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals on the property, during which one person assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 16-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault - spousal
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, at approximately 11:09 am, officers responded to a separate report of an assault at another address in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals on the property, during which one person assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.
Further investigation revealed additional assaults, as well as an incident of property damage, that occurred between June 2025 and January 2026.
As a result, a 34-year-old resident of Woodstock, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault - spousal - three counts, - Mischief - domestic
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
