THREATS INVESTIGATION IN SIMCOE LEADS TO CHARGES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following a threats-related incident in Simcoe.
On Monday, June 15, 2026, at approximately 6:57 pm, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of threats at a property on Colborne Street South in Simcoe.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals at the location, during which one individual uttered threats toward the other and caused damage to the exterior of a residence.
As a result, 61-year-old James ANDERSON of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm, - Mischief under $5,000, - Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
