CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING TURKEY POINT ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - One individual has been charged in connection with a recent assault investigation in Turkey Point.
On Friday, June 5, 2026, at approximately 3:48 pm, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported assault at a business on Cedar Drive in Turkey Point.
The investigation determined that an individual attended the business and became involved in an interaction with an employee. During the encounter, the employee was assaulted and sustained minor injuries. The suspect subsequently fled the area on foot.
Officers located the individual nearby and took them into custody.
As a result, a 17-year-old from Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault, - Resist Peace Officer
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
