TWO CHARGED IN SEPARATE INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATIONS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals have been charged in connection with separate intimate partner violence investigations.
On Monday, June 22, 2026, at approximately 11:39 pm, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault at an address in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals inside a residence on the property, during which one individual assaulted and threatened the other, temporarily prevented them from leaving the residence, and interfered with their lawful use of personal property. The victim sustained minor injuries.
As a result, a 30-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault - spousal - two counts, - Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate, or strangle, - Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal, - Forcible confinement, - Mischief - obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 1:35 am, officers responded to a separate report of an assault at another address in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals on the property, during which one individual assaulted the other, resulting in moderate injuries.
As a result, a 30-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault causing bodily harm - spousal, - Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
