PROHIBITED DRIVER FACING CHARGES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - A traffic stop in Delhi has resulted in a prohibited driver being charged with several driving-related offences.
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at approximately 11:16 pm, a member of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on James Street in Delhi and initiated an investigation.
During the investigation, the officer determined that the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle. The individual was subsequently arrested and taken into custody without incident.
As a result, 39-year-old Scott DUCHENO of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while prohibited - legal restriction from any other Act of Parliament or provincial law, - Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code, - Driving while under suspension, - Fail to have insurance card
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
