OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL COLLISION IN NORFOLK COUNTY

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Silver Hill.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, at approximately 10:55 pm, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Paramedic Services, and the Norfolk County Fire Department responded to a collision involving a dirt bike on Forestry Farm Road in Silver Hill.
The investigation determined that the dirt bike was travelling along Forestry Farm Road when it left the roadway and collided with a road sign.
As a result, the operator, a 35-year-old Norfolk County resident, was airlifted to a trauma centre in critical condition, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
Forestry Farm Road, between 10th Concession Road and Silver Hill Sideroad, was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
