FOUR INDIVIDUALS FACING IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Four individuals have been charged following separate impaired driving investigations in Norfolk County.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 7:12 pm, a member of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Queensway East and Norfolk Street North in Simcoe, which led to an investigation.
Following an interaction with the driver, the individual was taken into custody without incident.
As a result, 26-year-old Zachary OSBORNE of St. Catharines, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, - Failure of refusal to comply with demand
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Shortly thereafter, at approximately 7:28 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Hillcrest Road in Simcoe after observing a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
As a result of the investigation, which included a roadside sobriety test, the driver was taken into custody without incident.
39-year-old Michael ZENHENKO of Oxford County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), - Having liquor in open container in unauthorized place
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Officers located the vehicle on the outskirts of Langton and, after speaking with the driver, took the individual into custody without incident.
As a result, 31-year-old Breanne HESCH of Aylmer, Ontario, has been charged with the following alleged offence:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
While en route to the call, officers observed a parked vehicle on Thirteenth Street West near the reported location. Following an interaction with the driver, which included a roadside sobriety test, the individual was taken into custody without incident.
As a result, 18-year-old Owen STEWARD of Haldimand County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), - Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero, - Young driver - B.A.C. above zero, - Class G1 licence holder - unaccompanied by qualified driver
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
