WANTED INDIVIDUAL ARRESTED, DRUGS AND WEAPON SEIZED

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - A wanted individual is facing multiple charges following an arrest in Simcoe.
On Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 9:02 pm, a member of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol when they observed an individual who was wanted on an outstanding warrant near the intersection of Grove Street and Queen Street South.
Following an interaction, the individual was taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and an edged weapon.
As a result, 33-year-old Travis JACOBS of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Fail to comply with Probation Order - two counts, - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, - Unauthorized possession of a weapon, - Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order, - Obstruct Peace Officer
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
